The Wilder Kaiser No. 2/36 is part of an ongoing series documenting painterly developments and different approaches to the Wilder Kaiser region. The first works in the series focus particularly on changing light conditions.

This painting depicts a winter midday scene bathed in a soft blue light, a quality of light found only on the clearest winter days. The focus is on the painterly interpretation of atmosphere, color, and transience.

The first edition is distinguished by its handmade Japanese washi paper, whose fine texture lends the print a special depth and materiality. Printed as a giclée print with archival-quality pigment inks, the work combines traditional materials with contemporary printing techniques.
