The Wilder Kaiser No. 2/36 is one of the early large-scale works in the series of the same name. Together with No. 1/36 and No. 3/36, it was created during the winter of 2024/25. It depicts a winter midday atmosphere bathed in soft blue light, a quality of light that occurs only on the clearest winter days. At the heart of the work is the painterly translation of atmosphere, color, and transience.
