The Emperor's Outskirts

from the series “Autumn Impressions”

2025

Oil on canvas

30 x 30 cm

CR 2-03

Private collection, Austria

The painting was created in autumn 2025 for Kaspar Laurenz's first solo exhibition, "Autumn Impressions," in Kitzbühel. It depicts the Wilder Kaiser mountain range bathed in the warm light of evening, while the shadowed side of the Gaisberg is bathed in a luminous blue hue.

The strong contrast between the warm evening light and the cool shadows lends the landscape a unique atmospheric tension, creating a serene interplay of autumnal light.
