"Color Study Kaiser at Sunrise" was created in autumn 2025 and is part of the "Autumn Impressions" series. The painting depicts the Wilder Kaiser mountain range in the first light of day. Quick brushstrokes capture the sunlit rock, while the shadowed sections of the limestone massif appear shimmering in the light, without elaborate details. At the same time, the work is among Kaspar Laurenz's early mountain studies of the defining limestone massif of the Alps from his childhood.
