Inspired by the legendary ski runs of the Hahnenkamm races and the woodblock prints of the Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai, this print shows the Streif with its typical cloud formations, the so-called "water carriers", from which the weather is read according to peasant tradition.

If the clouds move towards Jochberg, it is said that it will rain. However, if they move towards St. Johann in Tirol, it is supposed to remain dry.

This first edition is distinguished by its handmade Japanese washi paper and the moon perched above the Streif. An iconic motif whose aim is to give the legendary Streif a face.
